I just wanted to express my appreciation for the tremendous job you have been doing on our groundwater and VES project. It is a pleasure to work with a consultant who provides such practical and cost-effective consulting services.

Syntex Pharmaceuticals Corporation

While our success can be gauged by the quality of our product and our capacity to meet deadlines and budgets, our most valuable asset remains our people and their ability to communicate with our clients, regulatory representatives and members of the community. Clients are not easily retained in the engineering business. It requires diligence and exacting, dependable work. We are proud of our history of serving the needs of our clientele. We understand that you are the "lifeblood" of our organization. We know that means understanding your issues, being responsive, communicating well and matching the appropriate experience and skills to each assignment. The results are projects that are completed on time and within budget. This is our continued goal as our clients are also our best salespeople. To illustrate client satisfaction with the quality of HSA’s teamwork, 85 percent of annual revenue is generated from repeat business. In short, we gain new contacts by serving our existing clients exceptionally well!

Service

Teacher.jpg (19999 bytes)HSA encourages its employees to give of themselves—their time, intelligence, advice, money and moral support in the best tradition of volunteerism—to the realization of our vision to remain honest, simple in belief and responsible to the less fortunate in our community.

Unlike large corporations that establish philanthropic budgets, HSA blends its marketing dollars—in the form of sponsorships or in stepped-up volunteerism and getting employees more involved—in the areas of education, health and human services, and civic and community affairs.

Acknowledging the importance of higher education, HSA has established an engineering scholarship fund at the University of South Florida to assist financially needy students. We have also donated our time and specific talents to a number of facilities geared toward education and cultural development. These include the design and construction of a full-scale sinkhole exhibit for the Museum of Science and Industry and peer review of the life support system that maintains water quality for the various environments located within the Florida Aquarium. We routinely offer our employees to the Student Enrichment and Teacher Quest Scholarship Programs, wherein HSA professionals visit elementary schools in an effort to expand children’s awareness of their environment. We also serve as judges at the yearly State Science Fair.

HSA remains active in the area of health and human services where we continue to donate our effort and resources to the United Way, National Kidney Foundation and Muscular Dystrophy Association. We also support local and less-recognized philanthropic endeavors, including The Immokalee Foundation, which provides critical care to the children of migrant workers; the Joshua House for abused, abandoned and neglected children; and the Hillsborough Association for Retarded Citizens.

HSA employees are proud to contribute more than $30,000 annually to the United Way and other charitable organizations.

Recognizing the importance of civic and community affairs, HSA is also a regular contributor to the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, annual African-American Black History Celebration, the Museum of Science & Industry, the Florida Aquarium and the MacDill Air Force Base Restoration Advisory Board.

Our efforts have not gone unnoticed. HSA was the proud recipient of the 1995 Tampa Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year award, wherein HSA’s reputation for problem-solving, innovation, technical execution and community involvement were recognized.
