Qualified applicants must have, or be able to obtain within 6 months, a Georgia PE and have 5 to 10 years experience in Commercial and Institutional design and/or investigation and writing of cause and origin (C&O) reports related to structural damage for insurance companies. Our work product is time sensitive and requires us to investigate insurance damage claims in a timely manner, usually conducting the investigation and preparing the final report within a two-week period. Our work involves the evaluation of insurance losses in both commercial building and residential homes. Our clients represent the top insurance providers in the United States; our working area is primarily the State of Georgia. Travel to and from the project site is usually accomplished in one work day and is accessed by a company-provided vehicle. This position may also require you to provide expert testimony on behalf of our clients. HSA seeks Project Geotechnical Engineers to strengthen its Geotechnical Engineering Department in Charleston, SC. Interested engineers (PE or EIT) should have 2 to 5 years experience in conducting geotechnical explorations. Successful candidates will be responsible for a broad variety of tasks including: evaluating specific geotechnical issues related to settlement, capacity of shallow and deep foundations, and specifying general earth work-related construction practices, as well as supervising field and laboratory testing programs.
