SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE:

Mr. Albergo possesses extensive domestic and international experience in soil and water quality evaluations, contamination assessment, degradation and migration analysis, industrial wastewater treatment design, and hazardous waste management, disposal and remedial strategy. He has provided expert technical input and testimony on cases involving difficult or unusual hazardous wastes, advanced hydrogeology, geochemistry, water quality impact analysis, and sensitive regulatory compliance issues both in the U.S. and abroad. He is well versed in both domestic and international environmental regulations, and helped form the guidelines which are routinely used as the environmental blueprint for the assessment of properties involved in real estate transactions. He is routinely invited to speak at various academic, public interest, and corporate seminars on environmental issues. He has chaired several scientific conferences, and has over 100 technical publications to his credit. The major emphasis of his graduate work has been in the area of bioremediation which was funded by the United States Department of Defense. In 1986, he worked on the development of a strain of microorganisms that metabolized explosives waste. His current research involves development of models relating non-equilibrium sorption of chlorinated organics, to assessment and remediation strategies.
