SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE:
Dr. Lewis has extensive experience in the transport, detection, and control of
chemicals and microorganisms in the environment. Dr. Lewis is also an accomplished
computer modeler, and has applied his expertise to projects involving complicated
groundwate r hydrogeology and multi-phase contaminant migration. Dr. Lewis is also
responsible for the development of transport and exposure models for use in risk
assessments, and has completed approximately 20 risk assessments using Federal, State, and
ASTM Risk- Based Corrective Action (RBCA) protocols on various sites owned or operated by
large corporations including Chevron USA, Olin Chemical, and Conoco, Inc. Through
integration of a risk assessment approach, several sites have been successfully closed as
a result of his expertise and direction. Dr. Lewis has also successfully implemented
bioremediation programs.
